While it can be more expensive than online will making software, working with an experienced legal professional means he/she is focused on making your document valid, verses a piece of software only concerned with its accuracy.

"Attorneys in rural areas and small towns, tend to charge less, with fees in the range of $100 to $200 an hour... in major metropolitan areas, the norm is closer to $200 to $400 an hour. Lawyers with expertise in specialized areas may charge much more,” says David Goguen, on Lawyers.com

Step 2: Select an Attorney in your area

After selecting a package, we selected an attorney to do the work. Our search produced a total of seventeen in Washington State. They were ranked in order of their Avvo score (10) to low (6). Avvo’s rating system is designed to be as objective as possible based on a number of criteria. The average Avvo rating among those listed was 7.8 and all but one had at least two or more client reviews.

One attorney in Bellingham had 62 reviews, and a 5 star rating, the largest number of customer reviews by far. Having a high number of client comments and reviews pushed our team to override Avvo’s algorithm and select Emily.
